THREE TYPES OF COSTS I FOCUS ON
When my clients get control over their IT costs, they stay as clients. So I focus on costs in three areas.
ROI. It seems every consultant wants you to buy new hardware and software. I get a kick out of extending the life of existing equipment, when it’s doing the job. Expenditure delayed is money saved, so I aim to get maximum use out of each iinvestment.
BUSINESS RESULTS. You’re not in the business of running computers; they are tools to support your business. By making your systems more efficient at doing what you want, with less frustration and down time for you, I can help you achieve more. And that’s money earned.
SUPPORT COSTS. More important than a consultant’s hourly rate is the number of hours it takes them, that you have to pay for. That’s which I’ve invested heavily in learning and in time savers like remote access support and standardised procedures, so you get billed fewer hours. And you’ll be pleased to know, my hourly rate is in the lower half for IT consultants.
LEFT: Run your business, don’t let your computers run you.
